Daryn Reicherter, M.D.

Dr. Reicherter’s focus is adult psychiatry and he has worked with underserved populations for seven years. Dr. Reicherter’s primary interest is in cross-cultural psychiatry and post-traumatic stress disorder. His clinical commitments include providing psychiatric services to Gardener Mental Health Care Clinic, Opportunity Health Center, and Center for the Treatment for Survivors of Torture in San Jose.

Victor Carrion, M.D.

Dr. Carrion is a leading authority on the impact of childhood trauma on brain development. He provides support to the Ravenswood’s pediatric department by assessing and treating our pediatric patients. Dr. Carion is also working with the local school district to establish a partnership in school-based intervention. He is faculty at the Stanford University School of Medicine and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, as well as Director of the Stanford Early Life Stress Research Program.

Jose A. Lopez, Ph.D.

Jose A. Lopez received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA in 1992, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Lopez has more than 14 years experience in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and families, as well as homeless adults, in English and Spanish; assessing and treating Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD; and assessing and treating children in foster care settings. At Ravenswood Family Health Center Dr. Lopez provides short-term individual and family counseling.

Denise Chun, MFT-Intern

Denise obtained a Master of Public Administration in 1986 from Golden Gate University and more recently (2008) a Master in Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. She has14 years of experience in mental health program management, client screening and case management working with culturally diverse populations in both Hawaii and the California Bay Area including court-involved juveniles, medically complex and frail elderly, and recently immigrated populations. Denise brings to Ravenswood her traditional Pacific Islander cultural perspective including the traditional framework of ho’popo’pono’. Her clinical strengths include assessing the mental health needs of parolees reentering into society, providing short-term counseling to parolees and the clinic's English-speaking patients, and supporting partner agencies in developing the systemic integration of those services.

Miriam Maldevsky, LCSW

Miriam Maldavsky is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is experienced in providing services to high-risk individuals, families and groups with serious mental illness and socio-economic challenges, ranging from children to older adults, including juvenile dependency and sexual abuse cases. She has been working in the Bay Area for close to a decade, serving the needs of various populations, including immigrants. She is also currently a Volunteer Mediator and a Family Ambassador.
Miriam holds a Licenciatura en Psicologia from Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Masters of Social Work degree from San Jose State University. Prior to joining RFHC, Miriam served as a Program Supervisor at Gardner Family Care. |

Veronica Shah, BSW

Veronica Amador received her Bachelors in Social Work at Cal State- Los Angeles in 2004. She has 4 years non-profit experience and has worked in various and diverse settings. She interned for Child Protective Services and was a case manager for the largest Japanese nonprofit community service center in Los Angeles. Most recently, she supported the management team of a counseling center in New York City that is recognized as being part of the largest non-profit health and human services organization in the nation.

Belinda Hernandez, MSW

Belinda Hernandez received her Masters in Social Welfare Management and Planning from U.C. Berkeley, followed by a Certificate of Distinction in Project Management. She served as a Project Manager and Community Programs Coordinator with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, facilitating the planning and evaluation of the 24-7 Line, Pediatric Weight Control Program, and the Healthy Choices/Smart Decisions program. She is a consultant and has experience in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, marketing, and outreach for nonprofit human service organizations, particularly in public health and social welfare. Most recently Belinda has been selected to Blue Shield of California's inaugural class of Clinic Leadership Institute.
