Get Fit EPA
To address the rising number of overweight children and adults in our community, RFHC initiated and coordinates a collaborative, Get Fit EPA. Our mission is to improve the health of community residents by increasing awareness, resources, and promoting healthy eating habits and physical activity.

East Palo Alto Asthma Taskforce
RFHC is a member of the East Palo Alto Asthma Task Force that seeks to address the causes of high asthma utilization of emergency room services by children in the South County. Statistics show that South County children utilize hospital emergency rooms for asthma three times more frequently than children elsewhere in the County. Several RFHC staff members are trained to facilitate Open Airways classes that teach children that have asthma how to prevent or cope with asthma attacks.
