Erika Simpson RFHC Projects ManagerNadiah has over 7 years of experience in the health education field. Nadiah received her Masters in Public Health from San Jose State University in 2001. She possesses various skills across the spectrum of health education services including health program development, evaluation, grant management, health education materials/curricula development and providing trainings. She has worked within health care organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Health Plan of San Mateo, Brown & Toland Physician Services Organization, and taught as a part-time lecturer at San Jose State University. Most recently, she has worked on various health education programs for the Arab Cultural and Community Center and currently works as a Perinatal Services Coordinator at the Ravenswood Family Health Center.

Erika Simpson RFHC Projects ManagerWill graduated as an MD from the University of El Salvador in March 2002. While at med school he worked as a health educator promoting prevention of diabetes and other conditions such as HIV/STDs. He was working as medical director of a community clinic when he decided to migrate to the US. He has volunteered at a local clinic, and is currently an MPH student at San Jose State University. Since 2004, he has been a part-time medical assisting instructor at a local college in San Jose. Before joining RFHC, he evaluated people with disabilities to determine paratransit eligibility in San Mateo County. He is currently coordinating the Multi-Cultural Community Health Connections program at RFHC - a community based health education and screening program to prevent and decrease the incidence of diabetes and other chronic diseases within the community.

Erika Simpson RFHC Projects ManagerA native of East Palo Alto, Erika graduated from Howard University with a BA in Anthropology in 1999. She served as Programs and Outreach Coordinator for the Community Breast Health Project for two years. She has volunteered with a number of organizations including Leadership Training Academy, La Clinica del Pueblo, and Clinica del Seguro Social de la Uribe in Columbia. Recently, Erika received national recognition as the first recipient of the 2007 Geiger Gibson Emerging Leader Award bestowed by the George Washington University School of Public Health on a young leader in community health.

Isabel Quiñonez, Program Analyst for Planning and EvaluationIsabel Quiñonez graduated as a Dean's Scholar from San Jose State University in December 2006. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Science, with a concentration in Health Services Administration. Isabel first began as an intern at RFHC through the Health Career Connection program before joining RFHC in early 2007. As a Program Analyst, Isabel assists in the planning and evaluation of health education and prevention programs. She also is working on streamlining RFHC's Disaster Preparedness Program.

Nancy Maldonado, R.N.

Nancy Maldonado, RN CPSP CoordinatorNancy Maldonado graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco's nursing program. Nancy teaches the Childbirth Preparation class in CPSP, and assists with chart reviews and follow-up of high risk OB patients. She currently is a student at UCSF working on a Masters program with a specialty area in Midwifery.
