History
Ravenswood Family Health Center was founded by a coalition of public and community partners and opened in December 2001. It is the only federally funded nonprofit community health center in San Mateo County. RFHC offers full scope primary medical care and prevention services to underserved and uninsured low income individuals and families living in South San Mateo County.
In eight years, RFHC has registered over 25,000 patients, averaging 200 new enrollments each month. In the past 12 months, RFHC provided medical care to 9,290 patients. This represents 8% of the population in the East of Bayshore area (includes East Palo Alto, Belle Haven and North Fair Oaks).
