One Goal, One Healthy Community
From the beginning of the community health center movement, there has been a strong camaraderie among health centers, drawing on one another's experiences, sharing expertise and best practices for tackling complex health disparity issues.
RFHC actively participates at the local, state, and national level to promote and advocate for the needs of community health centers. We recognize our local government representatives who play an active role in advocating for the resources needed to address health disparities and inequities in health care.
In a letter to Health Resources and Services Administration, the federally agency that grants funding to community health centers, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo who represents our Congressional District wrote:
"With increasing strains on the community health care system as the number of uninsured continues to rise, I am particularly concerned that Ravenswood will have the capacity to meet the growing demand in its service area."Congresswoman Anna Eshoo
