Demand Exceeds Our Capacity
We’ve maxed out. We’re already at full capacity at our main medical clinic in East Palo Alto. Now we are embarked on the final stage of our expansion, a 10,800-square-foot facility that will add:
- 18 more exam rooms plus 2 procedure rooms
- 6 offices for behavioral health counseling
- Office space for medical administration
- Lab, x-ray, mammography and optometry
- Pharmacy services
- Parking lot with 51 additional spaces
With a new clinic facility we will be able to serve another 9,000 patients.

Impact of the Recession
As unemployment and the economic recession continue, the roll of the uninsured climbs steadily. More people than ever before are depending on Community Health Centers for medical, dental and mental health care.
Ravenswood Family Health Center has experienced a 22% increase in the number of homeless patients receiving care and anticipates a continuing increase in the number of newly unemployed seeking health care.
